Whatcha Waitin' For?

By Rachel H

You've seen the button, you've read our Facebook posts, you've heard the hype ... so if you have not signed your children up for a week of camp this summer, whatcha waitin' for? I wanted to give one last shout out to all of our participating camps by grouping them into "quick-glance" categories for our readers. Below, you will see camps classified by city and theme. To get more info on each camp, click on its name. Also, be sure to check back on our original camp directory to find out if these camps offer a discount to TSP readers! Either way, please be sure to tell your camp when you register that you saw them on our Triad Smarty Pants website!

Our Summer Camp Directory Button on the right side of the page will remain up until June 30th. After that date, you will still be able to find this directory on the left side of the side under our "Camp" category and "Directories" category.

I'm surprised that Old Salem's "Five YesterDays" camp isn't listed. I went several years as a young girl. It is very educational and fun learning how to do things the true old-fashioned way! :)

I used your camp list (the original one) to book all of our camps for the summer. I was born here, but had no idea we had so many to choose from. Thanks for the list and all the ideas!! We are excited about all the fun things we have planned for the summer. My children can't wait for camp to start!

Greensboro Ballet got one person asking about it but I don't know if she ever registered. We try to ask how they heard about camp, but sometimes forget.

If anyone is reading this, PLEASE let us know if there is anything Greensboro Ballet can do to make your camp choices easier!

Have to give great reviews for the Hartley Drive YMCA summer camp in High Point.
Great activities, great counselors, and a great value, especially since you can go week to week. fun, safe environment, this is our 3rd year.

Could you also list the Vacation Bible Schools? One summer my children did three different VBSs and had a wonderful, fun time.

To anonymous above, we would love to get a list together, but it has been overwhelming for Katie and I to tackle this list of all the VBS opportunities in the Triad. There seem to be so many hidden ones out there that are fantastic. Let us see what we can do. We may possibly run a blog with the ones we have thus far and then have readers add their favorites to it! We'll try to do this in the next week or so before they get going.
Readers, if you know of one to add, please send us the church name, contact info, and VBS dates at triadsmartypants@gmail.com.
