Meet The Winners of the "Salute to Moms" Giveaway!

By Katie M and Rachel H

The results are in! More than 350 readers registered for this year's "Mother's Day Giveaway: A Salute to Moms" - and four loyal TSP newsletter subscribers have been chosen at random! Before you scroll down to peek at who these lucky ladies are, we'd like to give another shout-out to the mompreneur advertisers who graciously made this fabulous giveaway possible. A special thank you goes to Meg Brown Home Furnishings, GoosiePie Monograms, BE Creative, Simply Meg's, Kelly's Kids, If It's LETTERS, Jennifer Kaye Designs Salon & Day Spa, Hey Diddle Doodle, Journey Lockets, and Southern Living At Home.

If you are not among the winners of this giveaway, please make a point to support these amazing local businesses and Triad mompreneurs who works so hard behind the scenes. These businesses rock!

And now let's introduce the winners...

Kelly Kellum of Thomasville
Kelly and her husband Greg have one little boy, Tanner Reece who will be two on June 1. She found out about TSP when a friend sent her a request to "fan" TSP's Facebook page. "I thought that name was super cute so I just had to check it out! I go on about every other the posts that pertain to my life right now, resources, and of course the giveaways! It's great to have a site I can go to for local events as well! It's just an all around GREAT site," she said.

Karen McDowell of Greensboro
Karen and her husband, Robert, have one son (Harrison, age 9) and one daughter (Celia, age 4). Karen found out about TSP from a friend and has been hooked ever since. "I love that the site is so easy to find and read up on hot topics affecting moms in the Triad, thanks to your category listings on the left. My favorite categories are GSO Businesses, Mompreneurs, and Smarty Find," she said.

Lori Redding of Greensboro
Lori and her husband Kevin (who was this past Saturday's Smarty Dad!) have two children: Boone (age 4) and Molly Ruth (almost two). Lori found TSP through a friend some time ago, and she said, "I love all the neat ideas on things to do on Triad Smarty Pants as well as articles on parenting, and supporting local businesses in which this Mother's Day Giveaway did!"

Amy Memory of Winston-Salem
Amy and her husband, Duncan, have two children, Ella (7) and Duncan (3). Amy found out about TSP from a friend, shortly after we first launched. Amy says, "It’s difficult to narrow down my one favorite thing about TSP, but I would probably have to say that I most love being able to go to one site and find out what’s going on in the Triad that I can do with the kids. Other top 10s are summer camp listing, gift ideas, one place for awesome resources, and articles that make me laugh. The thing I don’t like is reading about all the SuperMoms that are out there b/c they make me feel like a big fat L-O-S-E-R". Amy, thanks for giving me a good laugh today! We know you are a SuperMom, too! :)

Thanks to all four of these ladies for sharing your enjoyment of TSP and for being loyal readers! We are excited (and jealous) that you get to go on a fabulous shopping spree now! Congrats!
