Smarty Party Idea: Cash Lovell Stables

By Allison T.

Every year we struggle trying to figure out where to have our kid’s birthday parties. This year, there wasn’t a question ... we would be celebrating my daughter, Camille’s, 5th birthday at Cash Lovell Stables. Anyone who is a good friend of mine has probably heard me talk about her love of horses. She begged my husband and me for over a year to take horseback riding lessons. We weren’t sure if she was even old enough to be on a horse, much less handle an organized lesson. After asking around, we were told by numerous “horse” families that Cash Lovell Stables and Riding Academy was the place to go. They were spot on! She was hooked after the first lesson. When her birthday came around, it was only fitting that we invite all her friends to experience the fun she had been having at Cash Lovell.

I worried a little about having four and five year olds running around the horse stables, but my fear quickly vanished as soon as we arrived. The staff was unbelievable with all of the children. They had a plan and stuck to it. I didn’t have to do one thing to keep the kids entertained. Every child was able to ride the horses as much as they wanted to, groom and feed one of the horses, and walk a horse on a lead. The children also had their faces painted, completed a craft, and even played silly barn games.

Everything took place inside the climate-controlled, fully-indoor riding area. Camille’s birthday is in December, so when it came time for cake and ice cream, there was a nice, warm lounge with sofas where everyone could relax. My husband and I were relieved when the staff told us not to worry about cleaning up, considering the mess a group of four and five year olds can make.

I highly recommend CLS for your child’s birthday party and for horseback riding lessons as well. We have been nothing but happy with our experience there. I spoke to another fan of Cash Lovell, Kim Stewart, of Pfafftown, and she completely agreed. All of our six children have been riding in some capacity at CLS for over five years now. We adore the owners, Cash and Parker Lovell, and all of the CLS riding instructors. Our kids absolutely love being at the stables...either to ride, attend birthday parties, groom horses or to just play "horse show" with the other children at the barn. In fact, after watching how much fun my children were having, I decided to sign up to be a part of their adult riding program. I take lessons once a week and enjoy every minute of it! Needless to say, our experience as part of the CLS barn family has been positive from the start...you even might say we consider it our home away from home!”

We went to a party at Cash Lovell last year and my daughter fell in love with the horses. IT was such a great experience for her.
