Smarty Scoop on Weekend Events

Happy Smarty Wednesday! With the holidays behind us, either you are ready to get back to your normal life or you're too buried among toys and other gifts to get out of the house. Here's hoping you've been able to find room for all your new loot and can check out some of the events happening around the Triad (especially you animal lovers).

As always, there's a lot going on at the Children's Museums both in Winston-Salem and in Greensboro, as well as at SciWorks in Winston-Salem, the Piedmont Environmental Center in North High Point, and the Natural Science Center in Greensboro. Music Academy of North Carolina
January 7 – 16
The Music Academy of North Carolina will be offering a variety of free Muskigarten Early Childhood classes in Greensboro in the coming weeks. These demo classes will give you and your child an opportunity to sing, dance and learn all the wonderful benefits of music education! The free demo class schedule is below. Please register for your FREE demo class by emailing the teacher directly.

Annual Winter Cat Fanciers’ Association All-Breed Cat Show
Saturday, Jan. 10 and Sunday, Jan. 11 from 10 am to 4 pm
Radisson Hotel, Main Street, High Point
This show features over 200 cats from a wide variety of breeds, allowing the curious cat lover to see those exquisite and unusual cats that they may have only been able to read about before. They may even be able to find that perfect companion of their own. Vendors will have grooming aids, toys, and furniture for the cat of the house and feline-themed items for cat lovers.
Tickets: Admission is $6 adults, $5 seniors, and $4 children.
