Counselors, Psychologists and Therapists for Children & Adolescents

By Rachel H

We had a request from one of our readers to come up with a list of family and child therapy resources. Many children and teens suffer from anxiety, hyperactivity, depression, and other issues. It is often difficult to get good referrals and information because parents are not always comfortable discussing the problem with others. On Triad Smarty Pants, we always try to post businesses and services that we, or our readers, personally recommend so that you will know the service is mom-approved. We put out a call for anonymous recommendations of local counselors. We had a terrific response and have listed our reader referrals below. This blog will be archived in our categories on the left-hand side of the website. You can always find it under Health, Directories, and Resources. We hope this list will be helpful to many of you.

I have had some issues with my son, and you are correct in stating that some parents are not comfortable asking others for recommendations. This is a super idea.
