I've worked with Macy Bond Real Estate for both the sale and the purchase of homes. Alec McAlister was able to sell our house in a dreadfully down market! He provided helpful, sensitive, honest suggestions about the ways in which we could help our home stand out in this buyers market. He also listened to our hopes for our "dream home" and patiently helped us to find the perfect home at a great price. Macy Bond is a "boutique" firm offering personal attention in what can otherwise feel like an impersonal industry.

I am bummed I missed the poll for this. I absolutely think Jack Stack, of Jack Stack Properties is the BEST. He has a great eye, has been in Winston for years, and was exceptionally helpful and flexible. I reccomend him HIGHLY. His website can be viewed at

Seriously, he is exceptionally good.

I have known Patti McCormick (Prudential) for many years as a good family friend - her daughter and I grew up together! So naturally, when my husband and I moved back to Winston about 7 years ago, we immediately contacted Patti to help us find a home. I am very picky, and not an easy client (you know me, I'm the one who wants all the amenities for a low price!), and Patti was amazing. She was awesome as we trudged all over town and she helped us find the perfect home! Now, as jobs have moved my family into another part of Winston, we of course turned to Patti to help us sell our home, and I now proudly look at her Prudential sign in my yard, knowing we have the best agent in town to get the job done! And yes, she will also help us find our next home! Moms, she is great, and she understands a busy mom's schedule. She will do whatever it takes, and I highly recommend her for your real estate needs!

Patti McCormick was also our realtor when we moved to Winston-Salem. We were living in Charlotte, and my husband came up to WS to go house-hunting one day while I had to work. They called me to tell me they had found the perfect home for us. Who in the world lets their husband choose a house without even being there with him? Me, that's who! I think it speaks volumes about the trust and faith I had in Patti. She listened to what I wanted and also knows the area well. She knew the exact neighborhood where we would find friends just like ourselves. I know we would never have been as happy in Winston if Patti did not find us a house in our current neighborhood.

we work with Ed and Susan Purgason and can't say enough GREAT things about them. They are FABULOUS! And treat you like family...they want you to have the best house possible, and they put their all into selling your home. Susan's design expertise helps SO much in finding a new house, fitting in your furniture, redesigning...seeing a fixer-upper for what it's worth. you simply cannot go wrong with the Purgasons!
