Happy Wednesday! Easter is just around the corner and it's shaping up to be an eggstraordinary weekend! Whether your kids are in school or not, there are enough egg hunts between now and Sunday to please anyone's crazy schedule. Just take your pick from the list below. And if you get egged out, there's other fun, family things to do too all over the Triad. Just read on, Smarties!

Easter Egg Hunt

Puppet Show: Eggs on Marvel Mountain
Friday, April 10 at 11:30am, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm

Glow-N-The-Dark Easter Egg Hunt
Friday, April 10 at 6 pm
Mayco Bigelow Community Center, 849 Sharpe Road, Burlington
Burlington Recreation and Parks presents the annual Glow-N-The-Dark Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your Easter baskets to search the gym for glowing eggs with prizes inside and then get a picture with the Easter Bunny. For ages 2-5. Free. Phone: 336-222-5138.

Steeple Hill Farm Spring Fun-For-All
Monday - Friday by appointment or for groups; Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12from 1-4 pm.

"Barn Babies, Buds & Blooms, Butterflies & Burros." Come enjoy a relaxing, fun day at beautiful Steeple Hill Farm, a Triad working farm. Feed barnyard babies, including lambs, pigs, goats, rabbits, calves and chickens. See the home of the "Enchanted Wonder Trees", travel the butterfly trail on the hay wagon, visit the pig pen, chicken coop and "Solomon" the bucking guard burro and more. $10/$9 each groups of 4 or more; age 2 and under, free. Lillie's Friends Birthday Blast and Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 11 from 10 am to 2 pm
Children's Museum Winston Salem, Outdoor area, 390 S. Liberty St., W-S.
Please read our post about Lillie, this event, and the wonderful foundation in her name. This outdoor family festival includes an Egg Hunt, inflatables, balloon magician, Big Bang Boom Kids Rock Band, crafts, games, face painting and more. This event is sponsored by Lillie's Friends Foundation, which raises awareness and funding for pediatric cancer. Free; public donations accepted. Note: Web site is now working. Easter Carnival and Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 11. Times: Toddlers @ 1:00, ages 5-8 @ 1:30 and 9-12 @ 2:00.

Pony rides, games, bounce house, giant slide, prizes, face painting, and an Easter egg hunt. A brass ensemble will perform and the choir will sing Easter songs. Admission is $1.00 at the door.

2nd Annual Helicopter Easter Egg Drop
Saturday, April 11 10 am - Noon (Eggs drop at 11 am)
West Forsyth YMCA (back soccer fields), Clemmons, NC
Thousands of candy filled eggs will be falling from a helicopter. Free snacks and refreshments. Inflatable slide. Bounce House. Face Painting. Door prizes, including Nintendo Wii and more. 2009 Easter Egg Hunt

Blacksmithing Demonstration in the Historical Park

Rumor has it the helicopter has been grounded for the egg hunt at the YMCA in Clemmons - bummer! If anyone knows differently, please add a post!
