Smarty Scoop on Weekend Events

By Katie M

We are pleased to dedicate today's post to the 6th Annual Clothing Exchange at St. Paul's Preschool. The event will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 12th and 13th from 9am to 2pm in the Colhoun Room at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 520 Summit Street in Winston-Salem.

This annual consignment sale offers high quality children's clothing from infant to preteen sizes, shoes, equipment, toys, books and maternity wear. The sale is well-organized and very easy to shop. All clothing is in good condition and the sale includes many top name brands. There are also many brand new items and toys in top condition. Most items are half-price on Saturday. The sale features plenty of parking, wide stroller-friendly aisles, and even snacks for shoppers and children (the past two years have included Chick-fil-A chicken minis and coupons!). Shopping baskets are also provided.

The Clothing Exchange also features $1 raffle tickets for items from great local retailers, including two $125 gas cards from Wilco Hess! The raffle also includes items from Starbucks Coffee, Diamondback Grill, Nitsa's Apparel, McCall's, All Through the House, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Foothills Brewery, Lowes Foods, BenPhil's, Gazoodles, Invitations Only, Blue Ridge Ice Cream, Cash Lovell Stables, Twin City Diner, Sociale Gourmet, House of Plants, and Chick-fil-A among others.

This is a fun, friendly and exciting shopping experience full of great quality clothing and gear at bargain prices. There is no waiting in long lines, and it has plenty of volunteers working the sale to help. For questions or directions, please call the preschool office at (336) 723-4395 or visit its web site.

I went to this sale last year and got the most adorable outfits for my daughter. Great mix of brand names and Target bargains! The raffles are fun, too.
